Not your father’s bar chart (at least you hope not)

When you think of bar charts, you probably imagine something like the one above. Grey, flat and dull. The same cant’ be said for this one, showing the percentage markup on different categories of products at one New York City sex shop.   

I suggest that, from now on, all those drab bars be replaced with phallic symbols, no matter what the subject.  When boring managers/professors/politicians start pointing at a chart saying that “such and such” is up 20% or “blah blah blah” is down 40%, they would instantly become more interesting.  (Yes, I’m easily amused.)
