Things are not looking so good

Don’t miss me blind or anything but it’s not looking good here tonight (and tomorrow).  The ice is starting and that means bad news.    Update after the storm.

We up in Vermont can sympathize. We had an ice storm in 1998 that crippled the entire state.

I hear you sir. The same storm is dumping on me.

  3. Today’s forecast for San Francisco: Sunny, 60 degrees, 10% chance of precipitation.

Of course, now that I say that, an earthquake will hit and destroy us all. Damn you three and your evil karma!

  4. John in IL Says:

Fucking great. After dropping a half inch of ice on my ass, now it is starting to snow. The dog has resorted to peeing on the deck (I don’t blame her).

I shouldn’t complain; the power is still on(knock on wood).

Today’s forecast for San Francisco: Sunny, 60 degrees, 10% chance of precipitation, 100% chance of smug self-satisfaction.

    Fixed that fer ya.

  6. John in IL Says:

I think NDT is jealous of our ice storm.

  7. Been there, done that, almost had the car accidents.

The one I remember best was in high school; drove my ’78 Mustang King Cobra (aka Pinto with asthmatic V8 and cheesy hood decal) around eastern Missouri for three days without ever once touching the gas pedal — mainly because, if you did, the combination of rear-wheel-drive and a center of gravity somewhere off the starboard bow would send the car into a fine imitation of a hockey puck.
