The language that legislators use is often intentionally misleading in order to disquise the substance of the bill. “Stimulus bill” sounds like the popular Republican act of sending people money (I never got any, because I hadn’t filed my taxes. Oh, well). Though I thought it was a bad idea to send money and cut taxes when debt and deficit were rising, most Americans didn’t agree and liked it. Hence, the new Democrat “stimulus” bill, which isn’t much about tax cuts and payments at all, but, primarily apparently about public works and other spending initiatives. I actually like this “stimulus” bill better than the original one (though I might have liked the original one better if I’d ever gotten at least a credit toward past due taxes), but the title is disingenuous.

If and when you file your taxes you should be credited for that amount. Mother filed her taxes but couldn’t pay the entire amount and they reduced her bill by the amount she would have received.

(and you forgot to mention how cute Aaron Schock is)
