Is it hot in here, Winston?

April 8, 2009

A government website changes right in front of your eyes (click to watch): you go from “Global Warming” to “Climate Change” in 15 seconds. Doublespeak, anyone?

Our government explains:

Please see EPA’s Climate Change site for current information on climate change and global warming. EPA no longer updates EPA’s Global Warming Site, but is maintaining this archive for historical purposes. Thank you for visiting the archive of EPA’s Global Warming Site.

And thank you for moving the goal posts.

Eurthymics Dave and Annie must have gone to the same lyrics store where David Bowie sometimes shopped.

You do understand that “global warming” is a subset of conditions under “climate change”, right? That this is equivalent changing “lung carcinoma” to “cancer”.

  3. John in IL Says:

Wrong, Q. Global warming is the supposed cause of climate change, not one of many effects.

    Back to work, John.
